Buying tickets to visit the Zoo in advance? Good idea!

Be sure to check out our website for our hours of operation, the status of attractions & services, and the latest announcements.

Simply purchase your tickets online and present your e-ticket at the zoo entrance. You can choose to show your e-ticket on your mobile device, or print them. Advance sale admission tickets are valid for general admission only, but not for all special ticketed events. The tickets are good for any day of entry for one year.

RATES: Regular Season rates are March 1 through October 31. Winter Season rates are November 1 - February 28. Please purchase tickets at the rate in effect for the day of your visit. 

GROUP RATES: Discounted group rates are available upon request. Group rates require a minimum of 15 paying guests (3 & up) and a group reservation two weeks in advance of your visit. Please submit the online registration form on our website under "Group Reservations". Our staff will contact you to schedule your group.

RENTALS & PARTIES: Discounted group rates are also available for birthday parties, private rentals, company outings, and after-hours events. Please submit the online registration form on our website under "Rentals". 

TOKENS: You can purchase tokens at one of several kiosk stations throughout the Zoo using cash or credit card. Each attraction requires two tokens per person. If large quantities of tokens (75 +) are needed for your group reservation, please contact the Zoo for advance assistance.

EVENTS: Events included with general admission on the day of the event include: Teddy Bear Clinic (Jan.), Party for the Planet (April), and Animal Enrichment Family Fun Day (July). Events that require special event tickets include Zoobrew (June), Boo at the Zoo (Oct.), and Breakfast with Santa (Dec.).

 

Camp Zoofari Extras (City)

 

Extras 

Camp extras such as extended care, t-shirts, bags, and lunches can be purchased using this registration form. This will allow registration and payment for these closer to time for camp sessions.

 

The purchase deadline is Monday at NOON, ONE FULL WEEK PRIOR to the session.

Order what you need according to the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK you need it, as we will use the weekly roster to prepare.  

 

Camp shirts - are no longer required nor automatically provided with registration, but can be purchased separately here.

Camp cinch bags - one bag will be issued per day camper per summer. Additional bags can be purchased here.  

Camp lunches: The Mesker Park Zoo Rainforest Grill can provide a hot lunch for your full-day camper any day of the week.

On the registration form, enter the number of lunches you wish to purchase, and you will note which days you want a lunch in the registration form.

Lunch is NOT available for the MINI half-day camps. 

Lunch Menu: $12/day; $60/week

MENU: 

All meals include a Dasani bottled water and two of the following: apple sauce, cookie, or chips.

  • Monday- Cheeseburger
  • Tuesday- Hot dog
  • Wednesday- Chicken tenders (3)
  • Thursday- Mini corn dogs (5)
  • Friday- Cheese pizza slice

 

Extended care:

Enrollment in extended care is guaranteed for any registered full-day camper ages 6-10 or tween campers ages 11-13.

Extended care is NOT available for the MINI half-day camps.  

 

Care is provided 7:30 a.m. - 5 :30 p.m. Please report accurate pickup / drop off times in the registration form, and call us to notify us of changes so that we have staff available and alert to watch for your arrival. Please be on time. If you have any changes, you can call and leave a message at 812-435-0809. Note that staff will be out of the office attending to our campers, and may not get your message immediately.

 

TIPS:

  • Before you begin registration, please log in if you are a member. If you are not logged in, your membership discount will not apply.
  •  
  • You can only register for one week of camp extras at time. There is no "Other Dates" link. Register your camper(s) for a week of extras, and add it to your cart. Then go back and register your camper(s) again for each camp week for which you need extras.
  •  
  • For each week of camp, you can click on "copy information to all registrants" or "same as above" to autofill entries for multiple campers.
  •  
  • Use CAMPERS NAME as REGISTRANT.

 

  • When registering for multiple dates, it can be tricky. Tips: 
    1. Start with ONLY the first page of date/location options.  Enter 1 for each date/location. Click on "Register". Enter registration info. Click on "Add to cart".
    2. If you have all the date/locations you need, click on "Checkout".
    3. If you need to register for more dates you will click on "Continue shopping"Go to the second page of date/location options.  Enter 1 for each day/location.  Click on "Register". You can click on the dropdown menu at the top of the data entry form to choose info to autofill. Click on "Add to cart".
    4. Click on "Checkout".  All of them should then be in your cart, and you can check out.

Your ticket purchase will be valid anytime throughout the day on the day you choose. All sales are final. If you need to reschedule your ticket to a different day, contact Guest Services for assistance at (812) 435-6143.

Solo Safari Sensory Camp: June 29 & 30 and July 27 & 28,  9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Sensory Safari Camp w/ Caregivers Series, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.: 

  • Series 1: Fridays, June 12, 19, and 26
  • Series 2: Fridays, July 10, 17, and 24 

 

At Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden, we value the inclusion of campers of all abilities. This year we will be offering two different camp sessions for our campers with unique and differing needs. As the traditional day camp environment may be overstimulating for some campers, our Sensory Safari camp will be offered in two different formats: two single day camp options (for campers able to attend camp solo) and one single day camp (for campers attending with an adult caregiver). Both camp formats will be held with half day (morning) attendance.

Campers will get to experience the zoo while learning how our 5 senses relate to the animal world. Our camp activities will be conducted in a way to provide opportunities for our campers to engage with the zoo environment in a variety of methods while keeping sensory needs in mind.

However, to ensure safe and successful participation in the program, Solo Safari campers must be able to attend camp without an individual adult caregiver- including staying with the group for the duration of the camp day and adhering to camp rules and agreements whether or not they have accommodations. This includes, but is not limited to, remaining with the group while not engaging in aggressive or self-injurious behaviors. If your child cannot safely and successfully participate in the program, even with accommodations in place, they may not be ready for solo camp at the zoo. For campers attending with a caregiver, both camper and caregiver must be able to stay with the group for the duration of the camp day and adhere to camp rules and agreements.

 

Children ages 6-10 and in grades k-6 may enroll.

Register your camper for one or more days.  

Camp runs 9:30 a.m.- 12 p.m. Morning drop off is 9:15 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Afternoon pickup is 11:45 a.m. -12 p.m. Extended care is not available. 

Rates:

if  Solo Safari (Single Day): $45

       Member & City/County Employee Rate: $38.25/day (15% off)

    Solo Safari (Both Days): $85

       Member & City/County Employee Rate: $72.25 (15% off)

if  Safari with Caregiver Series: $100

      Member & City/County Employee Rate: $85  (15% off)

 

DISCOUNTS:  A discount is offered to parents / guardians that are Zoo members and City of Evansville / Vanderburgh County employees. Only ONE Discount can be applied. Registrants should be logged into the zoo members website, or membership can be purchased or renewed online PRIOR to registering for camp using the membership form on our website.  Employees of the City of Evansville or Vanderburgh County must enter place of employment on the registration form (apply code GO!ZOO!).  PLEASE DO NOT APPLY THIS DISCOUNT IF YOU ARE LOGGED IN AS A MEMBER. The regular price rate will display in your cart until discounts are applied UPON CHECKOUT. 

 

The registration and/or cancellation DEADLINE is the Monday PRIOR at noon. 

Campers should dress for the weather, and bring a snack and water bottle.

Registrants will receive camp details via email during the week prior to camp.

**Refund Policy**  No refunds will be issued after the cancellation deadline. We reserve the right to cancel any camp with insufficient registrations or due to unforeseen emergency circumstances. If such events occur, a full refund will be issued.
